BASKETSS I/II

Featured is a picture of a double wine basket, this is just one of the baskets that students will be making this year.
This class is not just for beginners. It is for students of all levels of experience. I will have basket designs for beginners and some for advanced students as well.
Through their experience, students will learn the following:
How to hold your hands while weaving
How to shape the basket
Methods to use for adjusting your tension
Use of basketry tools
How to choose weaving materials for your future basket weaving
We will be weaving 3 different baskets for the week, then depending on your ability, I will have additional basket designs available to purchase.
You will learn different weaving techniques and will be using different shapes of natural and dyed reeds to add color and interest to your baskets.
The class fee covers the materials needed for your first 3 baskets, the handouts with a list of suppliers and a tools list. The use of the tools students will need in class to create your baskets. Each basket requires different materials which makes up the materials cost.
Class Fee: $310 (includes 3 Baskets)
Materials Fee: Additional basket kits will be available for purchase, the
prices will vary and range from $37 - $75 each
