BASKETS II: PINE NEEDLE COILINGI(NTERMEDIATE)
INSTRUCTOR: CHAR CIAMMAICHELLA
Students should have some pine needle coiling experience and be able to begin your coil around an irregular stone cabochon. Students will learn several stitches such as wrapping a row, adding beads, the elusive Ti stitch, and adding larger embellishments. The embellishments can include lampwork beads, walnut slices and creating undulating stitched rows. Ordinary pine needles and threads are transformed into natural baskets bursting with character and creativity!
Class kit supplies include prepared stone cabochon, 3 colors of waxed linen thread, large sewing needle, coil gauge, 4 ounces of pine needles, wax, beads, and instruction sheets.
Class Fee: $225.00. This fee includes your first kit.
Kit Fee: Additional kits are 80-95.00 each. Plan on coiling at least 2 pieces!!
Additional cabochons, threads, and beads will be available for purchase.
