METAL CLAY Bronze Metal Clay, Brooches, Boxes and Hollow Forms
INSTRUCTOR: STARR PAYNE
Create Brooches, Boxes and Hollow forms using Bronze Metal Clays. While somewhat more challenging than Silver Metal Clay to work with, Bronze creates an extremely hard and beautiful contrast to fine silver clay. Prior experience working with metal clay is not required. During the course of the week, we will be working with a variety of bronzes from different manufacturers, covering basic and advanced design and construction and firing techniques. The class fee includes enough bronze metal clay to complete several projects, including a box and hollow form brooch. A base metal tool kit will be available for student use, along with handouts and consumables. Additional metal clay and materials will be available for purchase, and the prices are included in the Estimated Materials Fee. Students are encouraged to bring an Opti/Visor. The instructor will have finishing bits and brushes available for polishing and finishing your pieces to a high shine.
Class Fee: $220.00
Est. Materials Fee: $25.00 - $100.0
Prerequisites: None
