FACETING I.5: ART STONES
INSTRUCTOR: JOHN ELLIOTT
This course will help develop and expand your faceting skills. We will go beyond the big six commercial cuts. You will learn to facet the more complex meet point designs. We will do designs from Ian Brown, Fred Van Sant, Claude Marc-Aurele, Marco Voltolini and Jeff Graham books. Please bring an Optivisor or 10xloupe in addition to closed-toe shoes. If you have your own faceting machine or laps, feel free to bring those as well and I’ll help you learn that machine.
Class Fee: $250
Prerequisites: Previous faceting class or practical experience
Growing up I went into mines and collected stones with my mother and Father. Later in life I started faceting and making jewelry. In 2018, I discovered the William Holland School and took courses in faceting and jewelry making. I was hooked. I explored and enjoyed doing Sapphires and Rubies in 2019.
