GLASS FUSING – ADVANCED JEWELRY
INSTRUCTOR: MARGO ANDERSON
Students taking Advanced Jewelry will be designing and creating various forms of jewelry pieces and components! Focus on using various techniques and procedures to create artistic one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces. Projects will use all forms of fusible glass; sheet, stringers, rods, frit, powder, confetti, opaque, transparent, Iridized and Dichroic glass! Students will also experience controlling and monitoring the kiln(s) they are using, as well as cold working your projects for finishing. Some items made will be components for utilizing in class and any future projects for you.
You will be creating with:
Dichroic (clear, black & textured)
Glass Reaction Designs
Iridized variations
Wire Mesh Melt
Mica Powders
Etching
Decals
Gold & Silver Foils
Should you have your own tools, you are welcome to bring them. All projects made in this class will use Bullseye COE 90 glass. DO NOT bring any glass to class! If you have any questions, please contact me! Additional project kits and glass packets may be available for purchase.
