Description

Micro Macramé II

Instructor: Kristin Pietras

 

Class Description: This Micro Macramé class builds on the skills learned in the Micro Macramé I class.  Students will use some of the same knots but will also learn new knots.  Students will complete the following 5 projects:

 

  • .5mm waxed polyester cord earrings with double half hitch knots, jump ring, 8/0 beads and ear wires
  • .5mm waxed polyester cord earrings with double half hitch and single half hitch knots, 6/0 and 8/0 seed beads, disc drops, jump rings and ear wires.
  • .5mm nylon cord bracelet and earring combination with single and double half hitch knots, 6mm crystals, 8mm stone beads, 11/0 seed beads, drops, jump rings, ear wires and magnetic clasp
  • 1mm nylon cord bracelet with 18x25mm lark’s head knot wrapped cabochon, single and double half hitch knots, 8/0 seed beads and a slide clasp.
  • 1mm nylon cord necklace with with 30x40mm lark’s head knot wrapped cabochon, single and double half hitch knots, square knots, 6mm bead, 8/0 seed beads and a slide clasp.

 

Class Fee: $125.00

Class Materials : All cord, beads, cabochons, findings and pictured instructions needed to complete each project will be provided by the instructor.  If students have their own Macramé board, they can bring it, otherwise a board will be provided for use in class.  Other tools necessary to complete a project, such as scissors, lighter, glue, bead mat and fray check, will also be available for student use.
