Participants must be 18 years to 120 years old when the program starts.
HOLLOW AND HINGES SILVER II
INSTRUCTOR: DEBORA MAUSER
Adding dimension and movement to your creations take the creations to a new
dimension. We will start with a basic hollow form pendant, then move on to more
complicated designs with openings. Hinges will include two different options and a
traditional three knuckle hinge. Each piece will be designed by the student. Teacher will
have stones, and all silver needed to complete the students' designs. Soldering and heat
control is essential to be successful. Please bring magnifiers, flex shaft attachments,
any hand tools that you enjoy using.
Class fee includes handouts, sawblades, solder, new Solderite boards, some specialty
components.
Class Fee: $150
Estimated Materials Fee: $125-300 dependent on designs and stones
Prerequisites: Silver I, good soldering and sawing skills
Debora Mauser is a self-taught jewelry artist working in mixed metals, stones and enamel. She is a nationally known instructor teaching at large venues, shows and bead stores as well as schools on the east coast. You can find her work in magazines like Step-by-Step Wire; Craft, Paper, Scissors; Enameling by F&W publishing, as well as online video and classes with Craftsy and Craftcast. Debora’s classes are low key but packed with techniques and information. She loves to support her students and their designs with creative options in each class.
