STAINED GLASS I
INSTRUCTOR: STEPHANIE DANZ
In this class we’ll explore the art of stained glass using the Tiffany method, also known as the copper foil method, that allows more creative freedom. We’ll be incorporating agate slices and other gems into the final pieces. During the week, you will have the opportunity to create two projects – a hanging panel and a freestanding tabletop piece. This is a fun and focused class for the beginner as well as the more experienced craftsperson. Included are use of all tools, machines, chemicals, foil, solder, glass, two agate slices, patinas and finishing compound. You will learn to make a pattern, cut and grind glass, foil, solder your piece, prepare it for hanging or standing in a tabletop stand. There will be options available to you.
