SILVER I: INLAY IN A DAY
WEEKEND CLASS, SATURDAY 9AM TO 4PM

Dive into silversmithing in this engaging one-day workshop, perfect for all skill levels! Join us for a hands-on experience where you’ll have the opportunity to craft stunning pendant necklaces using beautiful pre-made sterling silver frames designed by artist Heather B of Towed Studio.
Each frame is thoughtfully handcrafted and cast in Heather’s studio located in the artistic heart of Tucson, Arizona, ensuring you’re working with high-quality recycled sterling silver. In this class, you’ll learn a fun metalsmithing technique while expressing your unique style. Whether you choose to create one piece or several necklaces to share with friends and family...the possibilities are endless!
Guided by a patient instructor, you’ll gain the confidence to explore design concepts and finish your pendants with personal touches. Join us for a day of creativity, inspiration, and connection with fellow artisans. No prior experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and desire to create!
Lab Fee includes first project. One sterling silver pendant for inlay (enamel, mosaic, or resin). More will be available for purchase. Students can work in as many as they wish. Several types and colors of crushed stones, use of adhesive materials, use of files and finishing products, teacher experience, handouts, resources, and guidance.

Heather is a dedicated jewelry artist, jewelry tool maker, and educator and mentor who turned her passion into a full-time pursuit after an early retirement from her engineering career. Based in Tucson, Arizona, she teaches both locally and across the country, sharing her abilities with students of all skill levels.
Her work is a blend of traditional techniques and new technologies, allowing her to produce unique and compelling designs. She is committed to helping others develop their own skills, offering hands-on instruction that emphasizes practical learning, demonstrations, and individualized feedback.
Known for her patience and soft-spoken teaching style, Heather creates an encouraging environment where students can confidently explore their creativity. Whether working with molten metal, shaping intricate details, or mastering goldsmithing techniques, she finds joy in both the artistic process and the opportunity to inspire others.
